- grooming and maintaining of formal gardens
- maintaining lawn care and plant health including pest and disease identification, feeding, pruning, watering, and weeding
- collaborating with owners and designers to improve existing gardens and the implementation of planting strategies
- responsible for an outdoor team who carry out general garden and maintenance work
- adhere to agreed budgets and maintain records
- responsible for liaising with outdoor contractors, where necessary
- responsible for maintaining glasshouse and growing seedlings, vegetables, and fruit
- occasional support to the rest of the outdoor team where appropriate
