THOMPSON CLARKE INTERIORS is looking for employees for positions:

cad technician

Responsibility

  • assist in creating and modifying design packages, including floor plans, elevations, sections and cabinetry details
  • collaborate with designers to translate concepts and sketches into precise technical drawings
  • coordinate with project managers to ensure timely delivery of drawings and plans
  • ensure all drawings adhere to company standards and design specifications
  • maintain and update CAD files, ensuring accuracy and organisation
  • liaise with external consultants across the project stages to delivery
  • working on simultaneous projects at any one time
  • assist design team on all aspects of delivering the projects including preparing design documentation and presentation materials for client meetings as well as reviewing and revising drawings based on client and designer feedback

Requirements

  • degree in Architecture/ Interior Architecture/ Interior Design/ Architectural Technology or related field
  • at least 1 year's experience in CAD drafting, preferably in interior design or architecture
  • experience with 3D modelling and rendering software is an advantage
  • good understanding of residential interior design principles
  • working on live projects
  • A team player who is highly organised, with excellent communication and time management skills
  • working in a team
  • adaptable to changing priorities and proven experience in multi-tasking
