Responsibility

  • the White House Care Home is looking to appoint a Cook on a permanent basis
  • cook Contract
  • £13.00 per hour
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • pension
  • 5.6 weeks annual leave
  • our newly refurbished care home is in the popular town of Letchworth Garden City, providing exceptional levels of Residential, Dementia, Nursing & Respite care for 50-residents
  • as Cook, you will work alongside the Head Chef to deliver a high quality of food to our residents and ensure the kitchen operates in a timely manner

Requirements

  • city & Guilds 706 – 1 & 2, or equivalent qualification
  • experience of food preparation for the relevant Service User group
  • team player
  • experience working in a care environment would be advantageous but not a deal-breaker
  • basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work on own initiative
