Responsibility
- develop and implement menus and recipes that align with the restaurant's concept and target audience
- oversee the food preparation process to ensure high-quality dishes are consistently served
- manage and train kitchen staff, including other kitchen personnel
- monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- collaborate with the restaurant management team to create seasonal specials and promotions
- ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into menu offerings
- maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Requirements
- proven experience as a Chef/ Cook or similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hotel
- in-depth knowledge of culinary techniques, flavour profiles, and food presentation
- strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with staff and management
- ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- creativity and innovation in menu development and recipe creation
- knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
