ability to problem solve in a variety of departments and help support, coach and mentor each department
identifying staff learning needs and assisting with development
ability to apply a common-sense approach to problem solving and foresight to anticipate and prevent problems developing
understanding of Hotel related laws and regulations including Health & Safety, Food Safety and COSHH legislation
hands on experience in hotel operations, specifically, food & beverage, conference & banqueting front of house & wedding co-ordinating to ensure a professional, friendly and courteous service to all guests
co-ordinate multiple events and manage teams in a fast paced environment, which will require a high degree of organization skills, delegation and a natural tendency towards attention to detail
conduct team meetings with HOD’s weekly to discuss routine operational matters, guest reviews and action taken for service recovery and also any staff issues
Requirements
previous managerial experience in a similar role
excellent customer focused manner at all times
proactive positive attitude and must possess strong strategic thinking skills
flexibility with working hours is essential
understanding reports, till operations, reservation and accountancy software programmes
A good eye for detail and a desire to take responsibility, through to resolution, for issues and concerns generated by our guests and employees
