- NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or equivalent
- previous experience in a H&S Management position
- demonstrable evidence of H&S policy development and implementation
- detailed knowledge of risk assessment and management
- extensive knowledge and understanding of health and safety UK legislation
- ability to work effectively in a team with good leadership skills
- self-motivated and good use of initiative
- able to use H&S reporting systems
Responsibility
- management, development, and implementation of the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
- develop and deliver the H&S culture strategy
- ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health and actively promote safe environments and work activities
- act as the key H&S point of contact
- including weekends, bank holidays and evenings
- pro-actively monitor changes in legislation and best practice to ensure continuing legal compliance and best practice
- ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations
