Requirements
- strong, proven experience in stage and production management, including theatre productions, small bands and presentations
- strong, proven experience and/or qualification in sound and lighting design
- up-to-date knowledge of digital audio and audio-visual equipment and its use in relation to live, recorded and play-back techniques
- experience in implementing health and safety requirements and risk assessments
- an enthusiasm for working with and advising non-skilled people in technical theatre and production
- theatre/stage production: 2 years
- strong, proven experience in stage flying and rigging, lighting, sound and video, and have a good working knowledge of the other disciplines
Responsibility
- provide first-line maintenance support for all relevant technical equipment, machines, furniture, fixtures and fittings
- ensure all equipment is well maintained, PAT Tested as appropriate, and is used and stored safely
- attendance at staff and production meetings
- to undertake maintenance duties across the building and other spaces as required
- set up and stage manage performance and event spaces
- responsibility for ensuring that all activities within the theatre and event spaces conform to Health and Safety legislation and FHODS’ policies and procedures, and that these are adhered to by all staff, society members, freelancers and visitors to the theatre
- produce and update Risk Assessments and Fire Risk Assessments for the building, ensuring they’re carried out and reviewed at regular intervals
- assist during production weeks to ensure the production, rehearsals and production process runs smoothly
