Responsibility
- perform stonemasonry tasks such as cutting, shaping, and laying stones to construct or repair walls, floors, arches, and other structures
- mix and apply mortar or other adhesives to secure stones in place
- use hand and power tools to carve and shape stones
- collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure accurate and precise installation
- follow blueprints, schematics, or design plans to ensure proper execution of projects
- maintain a clean and organized work area
Requirements
- proven experience as a Stonemason or similar role
- proficiency in plastering, tile laying, carpentry, trim carpentry, and metal stud framing
- knowledge of stone types, properties, and characteristics
- ability to read and interpret blueprints or design plans
- familiarity with heavy equipment operation for moving and lifting stones
- basic welding skills for joining metal components if required
- strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks and work in various weather conditions
