THE REFLEXOLOGY PLACE is looking for employees for positions:

duty manager

Responsibility

  • lead the reconciliation and monitoring of all monies at the theatre bar, reception and box office
  • train, monitor and reskill staff on our point-of-sale system
  • sign-off the cashing up process and ensure that discrepancies are resolved
  • ensure that all cash and PDQ information is secured at the end of the shift
  • ensure that all statutory guidance for health and safety, food hygiene and emergency procedures are complied with
  • complete an end of shift report that gives accurate and important information to the Visitor Services Management team and other key members of staff
  • act as first point of call for any operational issues, for example, lift operation issues

Contract type

  • this is a casual contract
  • working hours will vary according to the theatre programme. Hours are scheduled appropriately to meet the needs of the business
  • staff must make themselves available for a minimum of six shifts per working month, two of which should fall on a weekend
  • the Place will endeavour to agree your working hours with you ideally one month in advance, however due to the nature and flexibility of this arrangement we may call upon you to cover at shorter notice

technician

Requirements

  • demonstrable experience of working in a technical capacity within a professional arts environment or/and completion of a technical course
  • first Aid qualification
  • experience in working as part of a team
  • current Tallescope training
  • able to carry out the physical demands of the job including working at height
  • the ability to confidently communicate in more than one language
  • electrical qualification
  • ability to plan and work without supervision

Contract type

  • during busy periods, you may be offered additional hours and if so your salary will be amended to reflect this
  • the post requires a willingness to work during evenings, weekends, and unsocial hours as needed
  • this is a 12-month, fixed-term contract. This is a part-time position . Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager
  • whilst in the six-month probationary period the notice period will be two weeks. Once this period is successfully completed the post holder will be confirmed in the post and the notice period will be six weeks

Responsibility

  • any other duties that may be reasonably requested by the Deputy Technical and Technical Managers
