Responsibility
- providing support with all aspects of the young people’s daily lives and encouraging them to engage with positive activities
- encourage young person to access education, training, employment and/or purposeful activity supporting any application or enrolment process
- the Prospering Place is a social care provider aiming to deliver high-quality person-centered specialist care in a semi-independent setting with tailor-made support packages for 16 to 21-year old's
- help with CV writing and application forms for jobs
- the purpose of this role is to successfully support young people between the ages of 16-21 to transition into independent living whereby they feel confident and well equipped with the necessary skills to live a self-sufficient life
- support our young people gain vital skills such as cooking, cleaning and maintaining good personal hygiene, shopping, budgeting
- the post holder will join our friendly and professional team and will be required to provide support services in line with the Prospering Place guidelines
- support young people with registering with a GP
Requirements
- be passionate about working with young people
- be approachable and be a role model to young people
- able to use own initiative
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- be able to lone work with young people and work autonomously as well as part of a team
- have good administrative and organizational skills
- computer literate
- willingness to support young people to help them transition into adulthood by assisting them with cooking, cleaning, hygiene, budgeting, finding jobs and education etc
