Responsibility

  • we are looking for an experienced and creative Lead Chef to oversee operations of our newly opening deli
  • oversee the daily operations of the deli kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • supervise and lead the kitchen team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed
  • this is a daytime-only role, with working hours finishing no later than 5pm every evening
  • maintain the highest standards of food quality, taste, and presentation, while adhering to health and safety regulations
  • collaborate with suppliers to source the freshest and highest-quality ingredients for the deli
  • manage inventory and control food costs to ensure profitability
  • implement and maintain proper kitchen procedures, including food preparation, cooking, and cleaning processes

Requirements

  • proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a deli or brunch setting
  • strong culinary skills, with the ability to create innovative and delicious menu items
  • excellent leadership and team management abilities
  • in-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences
  • flexibility to work daytime shifts, with the latest shift ending at 5pm
