Responsibility

  • as Executive Assistant, you will be resourceful, self-motivated, proactive and confident in taking responsibility
  • the Orpheus Centre is an independent specialist further education college and charity working to support young disabled adults, who are passionate about the arts, to achieve their potential and lead independent lives
  • set up by musician and songwriter Sir Richard Stilgoe, Orpheus offers learning, supported housing and personal care all on the same site in Godstone, Surrey
  • we showcase what Orpheus students can offer in the workplace and we challenge the barriers to employment faced by some disabled people
  • we are currently seeking a self-motivated, skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide administrative support for our Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees
  • full time 35 hours per week / 52 weeks per year – Part time job share considered
  • you will demonstrate the ability to complete a broad range of tasks which support the SMT’s ability to lead the organisation effectively

Requirements

  • minimum 5 GCSEs – A-C or equivalent
  • A qualification in business administration/secretarial skills or equivalent
  • minimum of three years’ or equivalent proven experience within an Executive Assistant role
  • experience of contributing to a data protection compliant environment
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • advanced touch-typing and minute-taking skills
  • sound information gathering and analytical skills
  • must demonstrate maturity, good interpersonal skills and ability to use sound judgment
