THE NORTH LONDON FOREST SCHOOL NURSERY is looking for employees for positions:

deputy nursery manager

Working hours

  • full-time

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Responsibility

  • develop excellent communications with parents / guardians, encouraging them to participate in their child’s progress and development
  • participate in a ‘Keyworker’ system. Observe each child’s progress and report on achievements, looking for progression and continuity
  • shadow the Nursery Manager in all aspects of the nursery operation
  • in the absence of the Nursery Manager assist with the overall management of the nursery, including liaising with all external agencies
  • be responsible for creating a stimulating and attractive classroom and outdoor environment
  • be responsible for the day-to-day management of the nursery, including resources and equipment, encouraging good practice by the staff team with regard to individual and group work with the children
  • assist with the organisation of and attend parents meetings and open days as required
  • in the absence of the Nursery Manager ensure all doors are locked and lock the building at end of day

Requirements

  • childcare: 3 years
  • room leader, third in charge or nursery deputy: 2 years
