Responsibility

  • opening up the building, turning on lights, unlocking fire exits etc
  • liaising with our Programme Manager to determine the requirements for each event
  • you will report to the Corn Hall Chief Executive
  • liaising with our Programme Manager and Chief Executive to determine the requirements for each event
  • assisting our technician in positioning the lighting
  • the Duty Manager will work alongside our Box Office volunteers, Stewards, Technician, Bar and Café to provide excellent customer service to visitors and artists for events and performances
  • assist in ensuring the show starts on time at the beginning and after any intervals, and runs smoothly
  • as the senior member of staff on duty, you will be responsible for the smooth running of events, including taking care of our audience members, guiding our stewards in their duties and looking after the building

Requirements

  • prior experience as a Duty Manager or similar
  • strong customer service skills and a polite and friendly manner
  • event management qualification and/or experience
  • prior experience in a customer-facing role
  • an interest in the arts
  • confident, reliable and punctual
  • previously managerial/supervisory experience
  • leadership skills
