Responsibility
- to assume responsibility for the coding and input of all purchase invoices on to Sage
- to ensure that all invoices have been appropriately authorised
- manage the purchase order system
- to process bank payments
- this is a great opportunity for the right person interested in being part of a small team with the opportunity to develop and assume wider responsibility over time for improving processes, developing enhanced business reporting and participating in strategic planning
- to manage collation of data and submission of Gift Aid Claims
- reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance Assistant will have the primary responsibility for the timely and accurate processing of financial information for the main Charity
- to assist Fundraising with other administration matters
Requirements
- AAT or part qualified accountant
- appropriate level of prior book-keeping experience
- use of Sage
- knowledge of double entry book-keeping and how P & L and Balance Sheet are created
- understanding of prepayments, accruals, deferred income
- flexible and a self-starter; able to multi- task while also being highly detail oriented
- ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- common sense
