Responsibility
- to ensure that your conduct within the work setting and outside does not conflict with the expectations of the group
- to actively support the policies of the Monday Club including ‘Equal Opportunities’
- help maintain a positive and relaxing atmosphere for members of the club
- attendance at meetings and training courses as required
- advocate for members in areas of difficulty or misunderstanding that may occur, especially where activities take place in the wider community
- attendance and participation in supervision sessions as required and deemed appropriate by the Manager
- to be aware of health and safety and fire regulations within settings where the project is delivering sessions
- work to safeguard and promote the welfare of members of the group
Requirements
- good standard of education NVQ level 3 or above. - Essential
- further qualifications in a relevant discipline. - Desirable
- training in supporting young autistic adults. - Desirable
- full Driving Licence. - Desirable
- previous experience of working with young autistic adults. - Desirable
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards supporting people with Autism. - Essential
- experience of working with young adults in a social, educational or residential setting. - Essential
- A patient, caring, sensitive and flexible approach to service delivery - Essential
