Responsibility
- provide support and guidance to young people in our youth club
- develop and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the needs of individual youth
- foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their personal development and self-esteem
- collaborate with parents, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to youth development
- monitor the progress of young people, providing feedback and adjusting programmes as necessary
- facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, communication, and social skills
- maintain accurate records of interactions and progress for reporting purposes
Requirements
- experience working with children or adolescents in a mentoring or educational capacity is essential
- strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with young people from diverse backgrounds
- excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and conflict resolution
- ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A relevant qualification in youth work or education is an advantage but not mandatory
