Responsibility
- ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all times
- understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met throughout the nursery
- promote respect and credibility for this position through effective communication skills, impartiality and consistency
- inspire staff team with creative ideas and new challenges with aim to achieve outstanding practice
- maintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on file
- undertake any other duties to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and safety and wellbeing of children, staff and families
- assist in managing the acceptance and administration of medication, and ensure care plans are thorough and up-to-date for children or staff with health conditions
- ensure that all children receive stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources that are appropriate to their age and stage of development
Requirements
- full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential
- over 1 year’s experience of working in Early Years - Essential
- sound knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential
- over 1 year’s experience of working in a management position - Desirable
- level 5 qualification in Childcare and/or Management and Leadership - Desirable
- experience of successfully passing an Ofsted inspection to good or outstanding - Desirable

- childcare: 1 year
