Responsibility
- manage the local team of Truck Wash Operatives
- overseeing the general operations of the warehouse and staff
- perform truck washing and cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions, ensuring all fleet is thoroughly cleaned and maintained

- conduct regular inspections of trucks to identify areas requiring additional cleaning or repairs and report accordingly
- supporting the Shift Manager to achieve timely and efficient receipt, pallet build, put away and despatch of stock
- use the company's app to ensure all reporting requirements are met
- supporting the Shift Manager to achieve efficient receipt and pallet build of returned customer orders to maintain targets
- utilise gantry washers, pressure washers, brushes, and other cleaning tools to remove dirt, grime, and debris from truck exteriors, interiors, and undercarriages
- ensuring optimum levels of stock integrity
- clean and sanitise truck cabs, including windows, mirrors, dashboards, and seating areas
- ensuring that Health and Safety standards are maintained
- empty and clean trailer beds, removing any waste or foreign objects
- supporting the Shift Manager to ensure that staffing levels planned to meet required levels of efficiency
- manage consumables and chemical usage
- adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work area
- complete the necessary checks relating to health and safety standards and compliance
- report any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor promptly
- maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, requesting restocking when necessary
- health & Safety – responsible for SSOW compliance of all rework staff including agency
- collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
- to provide support to your rework team in resolving any training requirements, issues or concerns
- to manage the rework team to achieve daily productivity
- to be active in the operation when required
- follow company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and adhering to quality standards
- provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns from truck drivers or other personnel
- ensuring accurate records are maintained against activity as required under Site Operating Procedures
- ensure all products in line with customers/clients specifications and quantities are picked/packed and dispatched to meet with required Service Level Agreement standards
- through consultation with operations and planning be responsible for ensuring all areas of responsibility are staffed commensurate to the achievement of scheduled and planned tasks and peak volume associated activity in line with optimum service and cost efficiencies
Requirements
- full and valid UK driving license is required
- strong communication skills
- ability to drive a HGV vehicle; no license required, but a stanardised competency test for vehicle shunting will be conducted
