Responsibility

• assist the dentist/hygienist in all clinical procedures
• ensure that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained
• order [ OR ] new stock supplies as necessary

• other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practice
• carry out any other duties requested by the employer
• ensure computer/written records are accurately maintained and securely stored
• use all equipment and machinery in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and ensure that they are maintained regularly and in good working order
• handle all substances in accordance with health and safety policies
• be flexible with your duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice
• keep the clinical areas and all equipment and instruments clean, tidy and sterile as appropriate according to the practice’s health and safety and infection control procedures and manufacturers' instructions

Requirements

• previous experience as a dental nurse
• A positive attitude and good communication skills
• ability to work under pressure

• flexibility within the role, working with different dentists and on reception
• ability to work effectively and positively as part of a large team
• good IT skills
