- dispatch Manager Job Description
- manage and oversee the dispatch operations, including scheduling, routing, and tracking of deliveries
- coordinate with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- optimize delivery routes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency
- monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the production team to ensure adequate stock availability for timely dispatch
- ensure compliance with relevant regulations, such as food safety standards and transportation guidelines
- implement and maintain standard operating procedures for dispatch operations
- lead, train, and develop a team of dispatch personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- strong knowledge of transportation management systems, including OTM and AS400
- experience managing a team of dispatchers or logistics professionals
- previous experience in dispatch management, preferably within the food manufacturing or distribution industry
- strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with exceptional attention to detail
- excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with various stakeholders
