sous chef

Responsibility

  • assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen operations and ensuring smooth workflow
  • oversee food preparation and production to maintain quality and consistency
  • supervise and train kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
  • collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and specials
  • ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary
  • maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
  • assist in creating schedules and managing labor costs

Requirements

  • previous experience working in a restaurant kitchen, preferably as a Sous Chef or in a similar role
  • strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
  • proficient in food preparation techniques and cooking methods
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
