Responsibility
- assist with month-end processes and preparation of management accounts
- play a key role in determining the group's monthly gross profit figure by closing out projects and investigating margin-related variances
- assist with monthly overheads analysis, reviewing cost allocation and posting adjustment journals
- prepare monthly accruals and prepayments
- assist with month-end balance sheet reconciliations
- maintain the fixed asset register and generate monthly depreciation journals
- assist with intercompany journals
- approve payment of employee expenses on a weekly basis
Requirements
- minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a finance role
- good understanding of accounting concepts including debits and credits, with some exposure to accruals and prepayments
- high attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- experience using Netsuite or a similar ERP system preferable
- honesty, integrity and reliability
- team player
- accountancy qualification - a degree in accounting/finance, OR minimum Level 3 AAT , OR early stages CIMA, ACCA, ACA, OR strong QBE
- strong written and verbal communication skills
