Responsibility

• deliver products to customers promptly and efficiently
• load and organise deliveries in route order
• return empty crates and boxes to the base at the end of each shift

• our Leeds branch is based at the Yorkshire Produce Centre, Pontefract lane, Leeds, LS9 0PX
• fuel and maintain delivery vehicles, reporting any defects
• the successful candidate will need the following skills to be successful
• A full British driving licence
• A Full time, permanent position is 35 hrs a week, 5 x 7 hour shifts
• the Flower Connection is the North's largest Importer and wholesaler of fresh flower, plants and sundries, with branches in Leeds and Sheffield
• be willing and able to start work between 2am-3am
• be competent at driving a long wheel base Mercedes Sprinter van
• we a trade only business, traditionally we operated a cash & carry business, in recent years we have moved to a web shop delivery model supplying Florist shops and other related businesses with fresh flowers and plants through out the region
• we employ a team of delivery drivers who start work between 2am - 3am depending on the route, the role includes loading customer orders for a planned route, delivering on time and in an efficient way, and returning empty containers to base at the end of the shift
• be able to load deliveries in an organised and efficient manner
• make between 15-20 drops in a morning before 10am
• be able to follow a planned route
• be able to access shops with a key to drop deliveries in the early hours

• responsible for keys and entering customer premises
• strong organisational skills to manage delivery routes and schedules
• ability to use simple navigation and delivery software

Responsibility

• the ideal candidates will need to be comfortable in a customer facing role and enjoy working as part of a team. Training will be provided, but experience with reconciling payments and credit control will be helpful
