Show more +15 - assisting in maintaining the correct running order of kitchen equipment through cleaning & maintenance programs
- to adhere to the day-to-day work of maintaining the standards of cleanliness & hygiene to ensure the highest standard of quality service to hotel customers
- adhering to the hotels procedure for the shutting down & controlled evacuation of the kitchen in the event of a fire
- to ensure compliance at all times with health & safety legal requirements through the training system provided by the hotels kitchen Health & Safety training programme
- to attend & contribute towards kitchen meetings & provide accurate & timely feedback to Head Kitchen Porter/ Deputy Head Chef
- to maintain high levels of personal hygiene
- to ensure on a daily basis the cleaning procedures are being carried out in the correct manner and within time deadlines
- to be familiar with the use of the training matrix for cleaning routines, chemicals & equipment such as daily routine cleaning, weekly and monthly
- to report defects within the kitchen & notify a senior member of the kitchen management immediately
- to carry out duties promptly at all times as requested by hotel managers
- to communicate effectively with Hotel Managers & heads of departments to provide information as requested
- to attend at all times internal/external courses organised by the hotel with a degree of professionalism that reflects the hotels standards
- to communicate to Deputy Head Chef when Head Kitchen Porter is off duty when cleaning materials are required
- recycling, waste disposal
- the cleanliness of the Kitchen/ Bakery and surrounding areas for hygiene practices
