Requirements

  • availability for weekend and evening work as required by the Events calendar
  • demonstrate the ability to understand and enforce the appropriate legislation
  • demonstrate excellent oral communication skills and the ability to discuss and resolve problems and complaints
  • demonstrate the ability to communicate with staff, provide leadership and promote a team environment
  • due to the nature of the working hours of the role having a driving licence with access to a vehicle would be preferred

Responsibility

  • responsible for the co-ordination and smooth running of events
  • set up of the room from start to finish, with pride and good presentation
  • liaising with all staff regarding the set up and close down of the rooms
  • reconciliation of tills, cash handling and closing procedure's
  • liaising with the function chef regarding food service and ensure dietary requirements / requests are met
  • the Function Manager must supervise floor staff to ensure compliance with all their assigned duties including all opening and closing procedures
  • ensure that staff comply with their assigned duties, all breaks are taken and staff arrive in a timely manner
  • ensure that customer service, quality and satisfaction is at the forefront for the customer
