Responsibility

  • providing advice and expertise in relation to the impact of external changes on occupation pension schemes, payscales etc
  • ensuring quality financial information is provided and accurate accounting records are maintained in accordance with Trust procedures and statutory obligations
  • providing accurate and up to date information to the CFO and Operations Manager
  • line management of Trust payroll staff
  • ensuring the effective strategic and operational management of the Trust Payroll and Pensions Function and that each stage complies with due processes and procedures

Requirements

  • the successful candidate will be the ‘go to’ person for all matters relating to payroll and pensions
  • an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Manager to join the central team at The Chelmsford Learning Partnership to oversee and manage the Trust payroll function
  • the role is a critical role for the trust with the successful candidate taking ownership for the delivery of payroll across the trust
  • the successful candidate will have strong numeracy, organisational and inter-personal skills, an eye for detail and ability to work to strict deadlines. Due to the technical nature of this role, previous Payroll management experience is required
