work within a set budget
plan, buy and present an appropriate, nutritious and varied menu, served daily for up to 60 children
order/buy food and ingredients on behalf of the club
plan, shop and deliver cooking activities as required
interest and educate children about healthy eating using a variety of methods, for example food tasing sessions and cooking activities during the holiday club sessions
ensure that the charity complies with best practice in all areas of Health and Safety regulations
be aware of food allergies and dietary requirements and keep all documents relating to these up to date and relevant information passed on to staff
attend and contribute to regular staff meetings
Requirements

commitment to promoting the health and wellbeing of young people
self motivated with the ability to work autonomously
strong commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
enhance DBS check
planning and preparing food for large groups of people
child focussed with the ability to evaluate and respond to children’s individual needs
knowledge of nutritional needs of young people
