Responsibility
managing the daily operations of the cafe, including staff scheduling, training, inventory control, guest relations, and quality standards
maintaining a high level of hygiene and safety in the cafe, complying with all relevant regulations and policies
developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the cafe and attract new customers
handling customer feedback, complaints, and suggestions in a professional and courteous manner
monitoring and reporting on the financial performance of the cafe, ensuring that the budget and revenue targets are met
working closely with the chef and the back of house team to ensure that the food and beverage service meets the expectations of our guests and reflects the authentic Belgian style
creating and updating the menus for the cafe and the bar, featuring a variety of dishes and drinks inspired by Belgian cuisine and culture
Requirements
A good knowledge of Belgian cuisine, beer, and culture, or a willingness to learn
A strong customer service orientation, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of staff
A high level of attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
A flexible and adaptable attitude, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
at least 3 years of experience as a front of house manager or a similar position in a restaurant or cafe setting
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle would also be preferred
supervising experience: 2 years
