THE ABBEYFIELD LOUGHTON SOCIETY is looking for employees for positions:

care home manager

Working hours

  • full-time | Permanent

Responsibility

  • to develop and maintain effective working relationships with collegues volunteers and visiting professionals , including regulators
  • to ensure that Abbeyfield policies and procedures are implemented
  • to oversee the preparation , implementation , review and update of all residents care plans in line with their needs and preferences, involving the resident , representatives, key workers and management , in line with Abbeyfield policies
  • to ensure residents access to NHS healthcare services through the continual monitoring of each residents health related care assessments and documentation. To include appropriate liaison with residents , relatives and relevant staff
  • to ensure residents and their families are supported and consulted about all matters which concerns them and ensure regular residents meetings are held and recorded
  • to ensure the management and implementation of an effective system for the safe control and administration of medication in accordance with procedures
  • the organisation is currently advertising for the post of Assistant Manager . The Assistant Manager will be managing Ingleside House
  • to assist the Registered Manager to maximise the occupancy of the care home and ensure that procedures relating to the admission and discharge of residents are followed. To carry out the initial assessments of prospective residents

Requirements

  • to attend appropriate training and development sessions as agreed with the Registered Manager
  • to have supervisory level experience in a health or social care setting , working with vulnerable adults
  • to have relevant NVQ Level 4 qualification or equivalent
  • to maintain confidentiality at all times and act in accordance with Data Protection and GDPR
  • to have relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • to have undertaken continuous professional development
  • to carry out any additional and reasonable duties as requested
  • to be able to communicate and interact effectively with residents , families , staff , volunteers and others
