Responsibility
- purchase products in line with the demand of the customers, cost, quality and quantity
- understand the businesses stock requirements and ensure product levels are maintained in line with the order values
- place purchase orders on supplier portals and through the ERP system
- liaise with suppliers to ensure that deliveries are on time and in full
- create and implement process efficiencies across buying the department
- research trends and keep up to date with industry and market news
- create and develop opportunities
- build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers, to ensure the sustainability of the Group’s procurement position
Requirements
- proven track record of delivering on commercial targets
- strong commercial acumen
- an existing network in the construction industry is preferable
- full, Clean UK driving licence
- procurement/ Purchasing: 1 year
- 3+ years of sales experience, ideally in a related industry
