design engineer
Responsibility
- develop conceptual designs, drawings, and specifications for prototype sensors and equipment
- generate 3D renders, general arrangement drawings, bills of materials, and 2D CAD drawings for new and existing equipment
- ensure designs integrate seamlessly with electronic components
- understand and apply appropriate manufacturing strategies, including 3D printing and CNC machining
- create prototypes using additive rapid manufacturing technologies
- collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet end-user requirements and produce high-quality, low-cost products with scalable potential
- communicate with manufacturers and understand relevant standards
- perform any other responsibilities required to further the interests of the company
Requirements
- experience with computer-aided design
- UK Driving License
- experience in similar roles and prototype development
- familiarity with design for 3D printing , including basic printer maintenance, 3D printing parameters, and filament material type
- familiar with CNC machining
- willing to engage in self-learning of tools and software used by the company whenever required
