Responsibility
- safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies
- communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required while ensuring items are secured properly for transport
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery notes and any discrepancies
- conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading of deliveries and efficient handling of goods
- provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or questions during the delivery process
Requirements
- valid driving licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred
- previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is advantageous
- ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently
- strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
- excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
- familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus
- A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with health regulations
