Requirements

  • qualified Teacher Status or equivalent, with a recognized teaching qualification
  • experience teaching within KS1-2 in a school setting, demonstrating a strong knowledge of the national curriculum and age-appropriate pedagogy
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and inspire young learners effectively
  • proven ability to plan, deliver, and assess outstanding lessons, incorporating a range of teaching strategies and resources
  • strong classroom management skills, creating a safe and conducive environment for learning
  • genuine passion for teaching and commitment to nurturing the potential of every child
  • ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external stakeholders

Responsibility

  • relevant experience working with students with ASD, ADHD, complex needs, and other learning difficulties
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • understanding or experience of using PECS, Makaton and other alternative communications
  • ability to adapt to changing situations and respond to the needs of individual students

teaching assistant

Responsibility

  • supporting students with special educational needs in the classroom and during other school activities
