Responsibility
- promote a positive company image by keeping a neat, clean and tidy appearance
- ensure all customers/patients are well received and dealt with appropriately, maintaining a professional and welcoming approach at all times
- to be responsible for the collection of evidence to support the achievement of the General Pharmaceutical Council Performance Standards
- to undertake or support practice research in the form of a foundation year audit
- ensure a clear understanding of the ingredients in prescribed drugs as well as over the counter medications
- maintaining pharmacy logs in relation to near misses, dispensing errors, patient/public referrals, MHRA drug recalls
- promoting national health campaigns
- dispensing medications to customers/patients and explaining details on dosages, common allergies and possible interaction with foods and other Pharmaceutical duties
Requirements
- to work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives
- minimum two years pharmacy retail experience
- have a friendly and engaging personality and is comfortable working with members of the public
- accuracy and dexterity in dispensing, keyboard skills, use of pharmacy & IT equipment
- have the ability to be on their feet for most of the day, and able to lift large amounts of stock in accordance with companies health and safety procedures
