Working hours

Responsibility
- providing support to the Head of HR in the delivery of an efficient and approachable HR service
- deputising for the Head of HR on a weekly basis and providing effective cover on their non-working day
- helping mentor and coach the HR & Business Support Assistant and HR & Business Support Administrator
- progressing the HR strategy
- delivering professional HR advice in response to enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders and proactively researching answers, when needed
- advising on complex employment law queries and changes to legislation
- leading HR projects as and when required
- supervising key HR processes including onboarding, training, payroll, employee benefits and offboarding
Requirements
- essential
- CIPD Level 5 qualified
- previous experience working in a generalist HR Team
- good understanding of HR policies, processes and systems
- experience with designing company policies
- excellent organisational skills and ability to adapt quickly to re-prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- sound understanding and up to date knowledge of employment law and awareness of emerging legislation
- able to communicate complex HR issues and identify risks
