Responsibility
- review and prepare analysis of regulatory developments with an impact on the Company
- assist in the implementation of regulatory changes
- maintain and develop the compliance monitoring programme and risk & control framework
- MI & reporting for oversight committees and governance
- SMCR – onboarding and annual certification review
- assist with client and prospective client due diligence visits
- oversee and obtain assurance over activities outsourced to 3rdparty providers
- co-ordinate the new client take-on process including AML checks
Requirements
- understanding of UK regulations in particular CASS, Financial Crime and Consumer Duty
- experience of compliance within the asset management industry, particular emphasis on compliance monitoring within a risk-based framework
- good understanding of FCA compliance systems
- ability to work independently and to show initiative
- ability to assimilate and analyse information
- excellent communication skills and a logical approach
- minimum 5 years compliance experience within an asset management firm
