Responsibility
- all activities may be inspected by the Loss Prevention Certification Board, and you will be expected to follow company procedures accordingly
- ensure RAMS are followed on site and adhered if required fulfilling Health & Safety requirements
- responsible for the safe use, condition and return of all hire equipment
- ensure that All door furniture/hardware is packed with the doors prior to delivery of product to site
- ensure that you work to the drawings supplied to enable the correct manufacture of fire rated timber doors, be able to understand the product guidance and compliance at the beginning of the manufacture process
- responsible for the safe driving and upkeep of all company vehicles
- organise and arrange stock levels of site consumables in conjunction with stores and ensure no stock shortages
- ensure whilst under supervision that you gain knowledge of the factory process – door assembly manufacture including bonding techniques, vision panel assembly, surface finishing
Requirements
- NVQ 2 in Carpentry/Joinery - Essential
- at least 4 years’ experience of making timber doors and/or fire rated doors - Essential
- joinery: 2 years
- carpentry: 1 year
- newly qualified would be considered, as support can be provided within the business, although experience would need to have been gained using machines/manual tools
