Responsibility
- SEN Play Worker for After school club hours 3 pm - 6 pm
- A Compassionate and experienced Play worker needed for 1-1 SEN role in an after school club setting based in Dagenham
- you will also need some level of resilience as the child may display challenging behaviour
- some experience working with children in primary schools or of a similar age is required
- some safeguarding training is provided
- we are looking for a SEND Play worker to join our after school club setting and make a real difference to the live of child with Autism in Year 3
- assist in the planning and delivery of tailored play activities, and promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- you must have NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent, has a sound awareness and knowledge of children with additional needs, Makaton, PECS and Visual timetables

Requirements
- previous experience working with children in a play or educational setting
- knowledge of child development principles and best practices
- ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on your own as well in a team
- patience, creativity, and enthusiasm when working with a with additional need

- peaditric First Aid preferred
