Responsibility
- provide a safe, hygienic and secure environment for children ensuring health & safety regulations are adhered to
- ensuring the settings are well-staffed and have the necessary provisions to provide high-quality, educational childcare to the children
- develop strong links with parents/carers to provide support & information in meeting their child's needs
- evaluating the performance in your settings and making improvements on a continuous basis
- run team team meetings to ensure the team are fully motivated, actively engaged
- learn from the existing manager on maintaining the day-today operations of the nursery and ensuring procedures and curriculum are implemented and adhered to at all times
- welcoming new employees and new children into the nursery and implementing plans for them effectively, then supporting with the transitions of children and staff appraisals
