Responsibility
- extensive food knowledge with the ability to cook and present fresh food to a consistently high standard
- ensure the kitchen is run efficiently, and high standards of cleanliness and hygiene of a five-star rated kitchen are maintained
- supporting other catering staff to deliver all catering services throughout the home, ensuring resident choice, dignity, confidentiality and safety are maintained
- maintaining full awareness of menu content, service procedures and any other relevant information
- ensure all documentation is kept up to date according to current legislation; Health & Safety, COSHH regulations and food safety
- advising the Home Manager and Care Services staff concerning any changes in a resident’s dietary habits, in particular reporting and noting any instances where a resident refuses food
