maintenance supervisor
Responsibility
- manage daily warehouse operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- coordinate materials handling, ensuring proper lifting techniques and equipment are followed to prevent injuries
- conduct regular inspections of equipment, including forklifts, to ensure safe operation
- implement best practices for inventory management and stock rotation to minimise waste
- carry out necessary building maintenance tasks, this could include minor joinery, plumbing, use of power tools, painting, and gardening
- undertake regular checks and measure on fire detection equipment and cary out routine fire drills
- manage shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate processing of goods in and goods out including driving forklifts to move goods into, out of and around the premises
- as a Warehouse & Building Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment as well as ensuring efficient shipping and receiving processes
Requirements
- proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse environment
- strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse equipment and operations
- experience in shipping and receiving processes, with an understanding of materials handling techniques
- ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role
- basic but varied buildings maintenance skills
- excellent team skills, with the desire to be a team player
- must has a current forklift truck driving licence
- maintenance: 1 year
