Responsibility

  • responsible for maintaining accurate financial records by recording the day-to-day financial transactions of the company
  • part-time position, 20 hours per week, ideally spread over 5 days per week
  • production of monthly management accounts
  • month end journal posting
  • management of accruals and deferred revenue
  • cashflow management and forecasting
  • management of accounts payable and receivable
  • cashbook management and allocation of bank transactions

Requirements

  • experienced in bookkeeping/accounting practices in an SME
  • A working knowledge of the latest accounting principles and procedures
  • up to date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
  • A good working knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts
  • minimum of AAT qualification
  • bookkeeping/Accounts in SME: 4 years
