Responsibility
we are currently seeking a motivated and experienced UK Immigration Solicitor/Caseworker to join our reputable firm in Birmingham
prepare and submit visa applications, appeals, and judicial reviews, ensuring compliance with immigration laws and procedural requirements
provide comprehensive legal representation and advocacy in asylum claims, human rights applications, and deportation proceedings
liaise with government agencies, immigration authorities, and courts to gather evidence, respond to inquiries, and advance clients' interests
attend court hearings, tribunals, and immigration interviews to represent clients and present compelling arguments
conduct thorough consultations with clients to assess their immigration needs, explain legal options, and formulate effective strategies to achieve their objectives
as an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload of immigration matters, offering expert legal advice, and representing clients in various immigration proceedings
stay informed about changes in immigration legislation, case law, and policy developments to effectively advise clients and advocate on their behalf
Requirements
proven experience in immigration law with a successful track record of managing complex cases and achieving favorable outcomes for clients
thorough understanding of UK immigration and nationality law, including expertise in Points-Based System applications, family immigration, and settlement matters
strong analytical, research, and advocacy skills with the ability to articulate legal arguments persuasively
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
proficiency in legal research tools and case management software
immigration: 3 years
ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
qualified solicitor holding a valid practicing certificate issued by the Solicitors Regulation Authority , or accredited immigration caseworker with Level 2 OISC qualification
