- to provide a high standard of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care for children place in the setting
- create and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children
- to give support to their staff within the setting
- ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children in the nursery
- we would consider qualified or unqualified staff
- maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians

- monitor and document the progress and development of each child
- arrange a visit and come and see for yourself
- collaborate with other nursery room leaders to plan and coordinate activities

- maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery room
- we have small groups of children in all of our rooms, so you would be part of a small, professional and friendly team

- the alarm on at the end of the day, ensuring all lights are off and the building is secure
- 21. Ensure room is kept clean and tidy and materials/resources tidied at the end of the day
- contribute to policy formulation and evaluating practice to adhere to Stepping Stones policies and procedures at all times
- support the development of other staff working by planning together and role modelling
- 19. Participate in nursery staff meetings, taking a lead role in these if required
- 22. Liaise with all nursery staff to share information about individual children
- be the key person for a group of children. Complete assessments and reports on children in own group and contribute to the assessment of others
Requirements
- previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
- knowledge of child development principles and practices
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- you will have the passion and enthusiasm to complement our existing team of experienced child care practitioners
- CPR and First Aid certification
- you will have knowledge of the Curriculum for Excellence as well as previous experience of working with children under 5
- level 3 in Childcare
- you will also be required to register within 6 months of your start date with the Scottish Social Services Council
- childcare: 3 years
- you MUST be educated to HNC level in Early Education and Childcare or hold SNNB/HNC/SVQ3 qualifications in Childcare/Education or equivalent and be able ot evidence additional learning and knolwedge of current practice and legislation in relation to Early Learning and Childcare.Y
