Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- to provide engineering support with CAD drawings for manufacturing
- produce fully detailed 3D models in SolidWorks for manufacturing purposes
- updating budgets and monthly project costs, including preparation of appropriate change control paperwork for senior manager
- to assist in value engineering and cost saving projects
- assist in compiling agreed project budgets and schedules
- assist in managing workshop team under direction of senior manager
- under the direction of the senior manager, maintain a disciplined tracking and reporting regime using recognised project management techniques and tools
- take ownership to deliver the project from the very earliest stage of the project life cycle to the final handover
Requirements
- broad design and draughting experience in mechanical engineering using AutoCAD and Solidworks software
- able to prioritise tasks and deadlines
- knowledge of a mechanical workshop environment and both machine and hand tools
- have experience in an industrial manufacturing environment
- forklift license – current or previous
- understanding of metal fabrication principles and limitations
- good IT skills
- solid understanding of CAD principles and limitations
