STANMER HOUSE is looking for employees for positions:
- previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
- A keen interest in food preparation and culinary practices
- ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within the kitchen
- flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business
- ensure all kitchen surfaces are cleaned and sanitised regularly
- help with the organisation of storage areas, including fridges and freezers
- remove waste and ensure proper disposal of rubbish in accordance with health regulations
- greet and escort customers to their tables
- present menu and provide detailed information when asked
- prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware and glasses
- inform customers about the day’s specials
- offer menu recommendations upon request
- up-sell additional products when appropriate
- take accurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software,order slips or by memorization
- check customers’ IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
