Requirements

  • minimum four years of actuarial work in a non-life insurance environment, to include experience of capital modelling
  • high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • progression towards actuarial qualification
  • reserving experience
  • organised and good time management
  • coding experience e.g. R Studio
  • good communication skills essential, with the ability to engage effectively with business stakeholders
  • familiarity with ReMetrica software

Responsibility

  • maintaining the internal model to allow detailed forecasting of future premiums and claims
  • ensuring that data and assumptions are updated in the quarterly reserve models and producing reserve exhibits and reports to help management decide on reserve levels
