ideally, be a non or independent prescriber or be prepared to undertake the prescribing course
produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of patient consultation, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures
professional registration with the Health and Care professions Council
be aware of data protection and confidentiality issues particularly within a GP surgery
post-registration experience in an appropriate clinical setting
use technology and appropriate software as an aid to management in planning, implementation, and monitoring of care, presenting, and communicating information
previous experience of triage/telephone consultation is desirable
