Responsibility
- the successful candidate will be someone who is highly motivated, well organised, and able to communicate effectively
- you will be organising and running a safe regular transport service predominantly for the students, planning routes with pick up points
- you will also be publishing schedules, ensuring that driver resources are planned, and booking outside coach companies when necessary
- bede's Trust is seeking to appoint an experienced Transport Manager to manage both the people and fleet of our outstanding Transport Department, ensuring a cost effective, efficient, and legally compliant transport service that flexibly meets the current and future needs of the Trust
- the successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, and be able to remain calm and focused under pressure
- this is a Full Time, Permanent Position, working 52 weeks per year
- you will liaise with many different departments across the Trust, to ensure any transport requirements are met, and you will also be responsible to recruit, manage and develop transport staff, drivers and technicians with the appropriate skills, in order to make sure performance standards are achieved
- as part of the role, you will also ensure all policies and procedures are up to date and communicated, so they are both understood and followed
